About Us
The American Civics Academy is a registered 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit that develops civics related curriculum and provides professional development opportunities for educators as well as civics education services to the public. We make a compelling moral case for our way of life by explaining why our free-market democracy is a highly evolved system of cooperation made robust by our constitutional democratic republic. We explain why the story of the rise of the West and of America is a tale of ever more effective cooperation catalyzed by ever better market systems filled with ever freer citizens.
The “cooperation thesis” is our organizing principle, it provides the narrative thread that ties together all the crucial pieces of American civics education.
Cooperation provides a framework for coherence from which intellectual and moral conviction is derived from elegant consonance.
